Asma Jahangir

Asma Jahangir is a human rights activist, lawyer and an author. She founded the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan in 1986. In 1998, she was appointed as the UN Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on extra judicial, summary or arbitrary executions. She is the recipient of Ramon Magsaysay Award. Currently, she is the Chairperson of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.
